Meera: Asexuality is unheard of due to shame

Meera Chopra is charting new territory with her latest film 'Super Woman'. This is India's first attempt to tell a story based on asexuality. Since the project is exploring a lesser-known aspect of people and society, portraying the complex character and emotions wasn't easy for Meera. She admits, "For me 'Super Woman' was a tough movie to shoot. Usually, there's a reference point for most characters that we portray on screen. But in this aspect, this film was different, because I've never come across an asexual woman and I did not have any movie on this subject that I could refer to either."
